How is Six Month Smile different to Invisalign and the Inman Aligner?

May 10th, 2012
Q.

Hi there , I am a little confused as to what six month smiles offer. I respect that they are quick and so on but if i had Invisalign or the inman aligner for example they would be much quicker. what I don’t understand is how can these three methods take less than/up to six months when the traditional braces take up to two years? what exactly do they do that these other methods don’t and if it’s nothing then why is this method still in circulation and offered as the main orthodontic treatment? I want braces you see and I’m worried that by vying for a quicker option I will be vying for the wrong option. I want the best and as such need to know these things? cheers

I want the Inman Aligner, but have a cracked tooth, what should I do?

February 10th, 2012
Q.

Hello sir…
Could you please take time to read the problem I’m having. the tooth directly below my top left canine (just looks like a lower canine but I don’t know if this is the correct name) has been pushed forwards. I was looking at it the other day though and it looks to have a crack line running the full length vertically inside my tooth almost. I want to have something like the Inman algner that works fast on my lower teeth as my top teeth are perfectly fine but didnt know what to do about this situation? Thank you in advance for any help.

If I am not a suitable candidate for the Inman Aligner, what are my other brace options?

November 28th, 2011
Q.

Hi i was wondering if the inman aligner could close gaps not just pull crooked teeth together. I like the look of it and like how its meant to be one of the quicker options but Im having trouble finding a provider in my local area. all of my bottom teeth are gapped as are my top. would you condone two different treatment types for the same mouth? I f I had say the inman aligner on the bottom and Invisalign on top would you say that that was OK? or would you have your patients stick to one? as far as I see it so what if they’re finished at different times? the sooner the better and that’s all I care about. if in the inman will not close gapped teeth what’s the best way to do so without getting a traditional fixed brace?

What are the advantages of the Inman Aligner?

October 12th, 2011
Q.

Hi I have crowded bottom teeth and am looking at having corrections applied but want to avoid having the older fixed braceas its ugly and slow. I was looking at the alternatives and having studied over 500 cases and been around the inman aligners for as long as you have I thought I’d ask you what would you say are the most obvious drawbacks of this method and is it the best for controlling/fixing over crowded teeth. I’ve been told the imans are quick but how quick when compared with the older technique. all in all would you say this was the better route to sorting out overcrowding or would you be put off or swayed by another technique- if so which would you say follows behind?

How much are braces for life?

July 26th, 2011
Q.

Hi there,
I had braces as a teenager but was never fully satisfied with the results. Now at 24 I would like to get braces again. I am unsure which ones would be suitable.
My Wisdom teeth have started to come through and its causing my front two teeth to push together and slightly forward. This is all I would like corrected.

What can you suggest? and how much money do you think this would cost?
A friend of mine has a metal bar behind her teeth for life- I wouldnt mind this.

Will the Inman aligner damage my teeth?

July 19th, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor, I hope you are well

I was just wondering about Inman aligners. It sounds like one of the best treatments being very fast and much cheaper than some of the other more modern braces but could you tell me how it works. I understand there are opposing pressures and am just mildly worried that this could damage my teeth. Has this ever been the case? My problem is mainly my front teeth which are slighly buck, what is the general treatment time for a condition such as this?

thank you for your time doctor

Is there a suitable braces treatment that isn’t metal for my tooth condition?

July 8th, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr Patel, I am interested in having the Inman Aligner Brace because it is a lot faster than other braces but my dentist says that my teeth are too crooked for this treatment and I have to have some of my teeth removed for braces and the best treatment for me is metal braces. Is there an alternative to metal braces if you have very crowded teeth as I do not want anyone to see me wearing metal braces. I know there is Invisalign but my dentist even discouraged me from this saying that it will take 3 years with invisalign compared to 18 months with metal braces. Can you also give me an idea of how much this treatment would cost even if its a ballpark estimate. Thanks
