My son is 12, his adult teeth have come through crooked, would you recommend Lingual braces?

Q.
Hi there

do you recommend lingual braces for younger patients? My son is 12 and his adult teeth have come through pretty crooked and he feels self conscious as it is. Im not sure if the invisible braces look advanced enough to straighten his teeth out, so if he has lingual braces it would combine the two best aspects of the two different braces and he wouldn’t feel awkward.

I just worry that because his teeth have only just come through that he won’t be suitable for the braces/

what do you think doctor?

thank you

A.
I would recommend to book in for a consultation with a dentist of your choice to find out whether your son is a suitable patient for lingual braces and whether his teeth have come through enough for him to be able to have the treatment. Best Wishes
