I have an overbite I wish to fix for my wedding in May, is this possible?

November 28th, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr Patel,

I have a slight overbite (according to dentists but I think it’s huge) plus teeth that are not straight, especially my front teeth. I’m getting married next year May and was wondering if there is enough time to fix my teeth by orthodontic treatment.

The problem I have is cosmetic but affects my smile and confidence. I have heard about the Inman Aligner but it only fixes bottom teeth. I’m really conscious about having a great smile for the big day and want to know if there is enough time to fix them.

Thank you

hello,dr Sepehrara..my question is that i have got my top anterior teeths which are over bitten and plus i have got two baby canniens still and i m 22 yrs old. i went to my regular dentist and he refer me to one orthodontic. i went to visit him and he said that my botton jaws are a bit in backward . and for me to have brace he said that i need to do my jaw operation done first. so just wanted to ask you that is it worth having operation or not really- will a brace be enough?. just need your opinion

I asked for braces then changed my mind after seeing the procedure. Can I change my mind again an have them?

September 27th, 2011
Q.

Hi last year I asked to have braces to sort my teeth out but then after being told about all the pain the procedure will involve and all the injections I would need to have I said no. However now I have had the chance to think about it I have now decided I definitely want braces as I hate my teeth and feel they definitely/finally need sorting out, so you think, If I go and ask I’ll still be able to the have braces fitted. The orthodontist said I was on the borderline of needing them before but I really don’t like my teeth as to me they’re very crooked and I have an overbite which I cannot stand any longer. Thank you,

My parents want me to have braces but I don’t think my teeth are that bad! Are braces better than the alternatives?

September 14th, 2011
Q.

Personally I don’t think that my teeth are in such a bad condition. I have a slight over bite and 2 teeth are crooked, however my parents are convinced they want me get braces fitted privately to fix this. I really don’t want traditional braces I always thought they were a bit, shall we say loud, I’ve been online as well as asking around- done a little bit of research, and found invisalign teen, would this be much dearer than traditional braces? do they work better? in your opinion what are the best braces or does it vary from person to person?

Can I get braces after gum disease?

July 19th, 2011
Q.

I have recently suffered from gum disease but have undergone the correct treatment to sort it out and my dentist has given me the all clear. Do you think i will be a viable candidate for braces? I have a large overbite, which makes me look kinda goofy so I would like to know the best braces for treating this condition. I would like the braces to be a little bit discreet but i don’t mind if they are fixed or removable, as Iam a little self conscious which is my reason for getting braces in the first place.  any advice you could give on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a invisible brace that could fix my teeth?

July 19th, 2011
Q.

Hi

i have really, really horrible teeth and I am at my wits end about what to do about them. I have gaps, twisted teeth, an overbite, you name it i seem to have it and i would really like something to change all that and give me some confidence. I would love a brace to treat my problems but am worried that i would need a really heavy duty metal brace or even a head brace to do it! Can you recommend any braces which are really effective but at the same time no one can see them?

if you could help me with this i would be really, really grateful
