I am not able to smile or talk with confidence, my dentists wants to remove 4 teeth and put a brace on, will this work?

Q.

I am now 23 years old female.i had done dental treatment done almost six years ago now.i had a complex problem, by birth my lower jaw was inside.during the treatment it was brought forward using twin blocks. Then braces were fitted to bring it back, it was fine after it firstly got done. However after about 15months my teeth came forward, it was fixed using retainers. But the problem is there is still projection of teeth. You can hardly see it from outside.I am not able to smile well or talk with confidence. When I visited my dentist I got told that the only possibility is to remove 4 of my teeth, top from the top and two from the bottom and then put on braces.Would this work? Also if teeth were taken out then could dental implants be placed there instead of my teeth? Also I am missing 4 molars, one from each quadrant of my mouth, should I just try getting braces again without removing any teeth?

My son has been told he needs a removable brace, he is adamant in not wearing one because other children have been teased and found them painful and hard to talk, is there another way?

Hi,my son has been told he needs the removable braces that have a metal wire in front of teeth for 9 months. He has a bite gap of 11mm,and both front teeth are like side of a triangle. He knows children at his school which have had these, and have been teased, also painful and hard to talk.Is ther any way he could just wear the railway track braces only. What will happen to bite gap when older?.Can teeth be taken out instead. He is adamant in not wearing the removable braces;but will put up with the railway ones. Please help.

Is there a fix for my teeth that bulge forward other than conventional braces?

Sir, I’m from India. My problem is that my front lower & upper teeth are bulging outwards and they are striking together.I’m finding difficult to close my mouth. Please guide me.Is there other options available instead of braces or clamps.I can’t afford the clamps upto 6 months.Upto that period what should I do?This problem started when I was 16 years old.I consulted doctor and they recommended me clamps.I used it for 6 months but my teeth become very loose and I left using it.After that the problem remained the same.I;m now 20.Please help me.
