My front left teeth are not straight, i was told it was caused by my lower teeth, what options do i have other than braces?

October 12th, 2012
Q.

Hello there. I have had root canal treatment on 3 of my front teeth. My two front left teeth are not straight. One is angled a little further back than it should be whilst the other is at an angle and protruding forward. The rest of my teeth are fairly straight. I have looked into ortho before and was told that it was caused by my lower teeth. Any treatment would have to be for life as my bottom teeth would force my top teeth crooked again. Do I have any options to have these teeth straightened other than using a brace? Thanks for your time Anoop!

I had a wire glued to the back of my teeth but now my teeth have started moving again, what should i do?

Q.

Hey Raha, Got a bit of an issue going on! I had a brace about 6 or 7 years ago, and when i got it off the dentist asked me if i wanted a removal retainer or a wire glued to the back of my bottom teeth to stop them from moving. The thing is they have started moving so this wire is now useless! What are my options, because obviously a wire is not working anymore so will i have get something else like a retainer to stop them from moving? if so how much does something like that cost? I should have got this information sooner but its just been so hectic i didnt get round to it and also i hate going to the dentist unless absolutly necessary! But now i think it is!! Some advice would be great! Thanks!

I only need to move one tooth, are conventional braces necessary?

January 30th, 2012
Q.

Hello Anoop. I have wondered for some time about braces. I have always refrained from looking into it as all I have ever pictured is the traditional braces like train tracks and I dont want them. I only have one rouge tooth that drifts across. its the right incisor and it drifts across the left so it’s blatantly obvious to all those that meet me! It really knocks my confidence and I’m not sure a full conventional brace is at all necessary to fix what seems like a small problem in moving one tooth only. given the circumstances and with you not being able to see me and the tooth in question what you suggest t solve hos problem as quickly as possible? thanks Dr for your time and considering my question.

Can I pay for my braces with a payment plan?

January 11th, 2012
Q.

Hi I would like to have my teeth straightened and was wondering if you can let me know the costs and benefits. (will I be entitled to pay thru benefits) also I have a tooth that has grown under my existing one and was wondering what treatment would i need to recover from this? How will the treatments take place and how many occasions will this be then settled? Please can you advise me further. To be honest I would be looking to have braces that you can’t see that much, rather than train track braces, but whatever you recommend doctor 🙂 Thanks

My orthodontic treatment is taken longer than expected, should I be worried?

December 20th, 2011
Q.

I have braces for 2 and a half years so far. My problem was overcrowded teeth, but I only had problem with the cuspids (they were standing out of line). While trying to put them in order, my orthodontist misplaced the upper jaw (the midline started moving to the right, together with my left central incisor). Now he is trying to get them back, but it is taking too long… He actually solved my primary problem in only 3 months, but the one that occurred during is taking 2 years SO FAR.
