Darsh Patel

Dr Darsh Patel is highly regarded within his profession and seen as one of the leading Orthodontists in the UK. Darsh qualified in 1998 from the Turner Dental Hospital in Manchester. He then moved down to London for his Vocational Training and carried out various training posts in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health. These were his first steps to becoming an Orthodontist.

To enhance his orthodontic expertise, Darsh undertook specialist training in Orthodontics at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 2002 and in 2005 acquired his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons, England. He also holds Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians, Glasgow. Due to his many years of study, hard work and experience, Darsh was placed on the General Dental Council's list of Specialists and holds the position of "Specialist Orthodontist."

During his career he has received many prizes including one for clinical excellence in his cases (treatments) from the Royal College, Membership in Orthodontics examination.

He firmly believes that orthodontic treatment has been undergoing a revolution in the last 10 years that has meant that old techniques and treatments are fast becoming out of date with the rise of the newer faster, more comfortable less invasive techniques!

His pursuit of clinical excellence has seen him train further to provide a higher level of orthodontics called "Face Driven Orthodontics" which has minimised the need for tooth extractions (removal of teeth) in the vast majority of cases. This has lead to the creation of not just straight teeth but beautiful smiles and faces too!

Darsh is a key opinion leader within his field and has been providing the latest invisible fixed and removable appliances for many years. To this end Darsh is able to treat and rectify even the most severe and demanding orthodontic problems and individually tailors each treatment to create that unique smile.

Over the years he has been actively involved in lecturing on the latest techniques in visible and invisible braces, sharing his experiences and expertise to orthodontists both nationally and internationally.
