Which Discreet Braces Would You Recommend?

May 20th, 2013
Q.

Hi there! I was wondering if you could help me with something? I’m a 32 year old professional, I work in an office role and I have to give presentations and that sort of thing to other large businesses. I am looking into cosmetic braces to fix my very misaligned teeth but I am looking for something that will not impact my speech OR my smile really. So something that is both discreet but practical and will work fast. Can you recommend anything? I would just like a general idea before I make an dental appointment. Thank you!

Does it make a difference if you keep Damon braces on longer than normal? Is there a specific age you can have them?

Q.

Hi my question is that if it makes any

difference to keep Damon braces longer

than the ususal time? My daughter’s teeth

is ok now after 1.5 years of wearing

Damon braces but I was wondering

maybe it is better to keep it longer. What

do you suggest? Is the clear Damon

braces better than the normal one? Is

there any specific age for Damon braces

or no? Is the Damon system effective on

30-40 years old people?

Best Regards!

I am looking to get Damon braces, but need some advice on the cost, can you help?

Q.

Hi ADAM. I live in Maidstone so just outside London, I have always tried to stear clear of London when having any type of treatments be it a doctors for treatment, dentist- check ups, filling, hygienist and now orthodontists for braces for the simple reason that London is more expensive than anywhere in England for anything. the problem is- and this is probably why, is that all the top quality places (for anything) are based in London like yourself at Harley street. I need braces to close gaps in my teeth and am fancying the Damon brace as I’ve heard good things. what are your thoughts on the Damon brace and how much would it cost inside London (typically) to outside London, ish/difference. and would it be worth going into London and paying or do you think it would make no difference. Im left pondering my next move, thank you

Are Damon braces better than braces for straightening crooked teeth?

November 11th, 2011
Q.

Hi Raha I’m thinking of getting a Damon brace. I think it looks lot better than the traditional ones and apparently it is quicker? I have crooked teeth, not severe but not at all mild. I’d say on a 1-10 scale they’re a 6. I think that the Damons would be best as they, for me seem to be a suped up version of a traditional brace (correct me if i’m wrong) and my dentist keeps trying to drill into me that a traditional brace is the one and so on! would you sasy that the Damon brace is better than a traditional brace for crooked teeth? if not what are the other alternatives to straightening crooked teeth that are good? and finally is it possible to get tooth coloured Damons? that would be perfect

Should I get implants then braces or the other way around?

August 19th, 2011
Q.

I am a 28 year old male who has two baby teeth (the canines). I need to get the two canine babies pulled and replaced with implants. I also would like to get braces to make my teeth perfect. I was thinking the top would be lingual and the bottom would be regular. This way I would look more aesthetically pleasing and save some money. I also have fairly straight teeth as it is, but my future career is in film and I need to try to look as good as possible. So for my question:
A. What would you recommend for the process of things? Braces then implants, implants then braces?
B. Do you have any recommendations for reducing costs? I am paying off undergrad and soon attending grad school and need to watch the wallet as best I can.
C. What would be the time frame from the first procedure to the last? Would their be a time of awkward toothlessness?

What braces treatment would you recommend for my horrible crooked teeth?

July 8th, 2011
Q.

Hello Doctor,

I just wanted some general advice on the best brace for my condition. I understand that a full evaluation will be needed before everything can be certain but I would just love some outside information to help me with my choice. OK basically I have very horrible teeth, not decayed or disease just very crooked. My two front teeth are buck and I have a number of those ‘fang’ teeth which occur when teeth erupt above milk teeth and then never settle. Which brace system would you recommend for treating this case effectively, quickly and if possible discreetly?

Thank you very much for your time doctor and any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
