What braces would be suitable for my front teeth?

October 11th, 2013
Q.

Hello Doctor,
I am getting married next Year and really want to get my teeth sorted out before my big day. My teeth are in a bit of a mess, they are healthy and white but not straight. I can see problem areas all over my mouth. I am a primary school teacher so if I am to wear braces they would have to be discreet and not affect my speech too much. I have been looking at Inman Aligner treatment as I saw some information about it in a magazine. I don’t know much about other braces but what would you say would be the best treatment for me? My back teeth are straight its just all the front ones top and bottom. There are so many braces and so many websites that i just get very confused about which would be best for me. Thank you for your time and I look forward to seeking your advice. Kind regards and take care

Can I have braces that are discreet?

September 17th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr Maini,
I am 29 years old and have crooked teeth all along the bottom of mouth. Generally they are easy to hide day to day but i would like to get them straightened so that I don’t have to worry about hiding them anymore. If possible I would like braces that i can take out because I do not want the health of my teeth to suffer at all as I had a friend who had this problem.I really don’t want fixed braces because of how they look, and I would like something that works quite fast but is gentle as I hate pain! are there any braces which would work for my problem do you think? I have heard about clear braces but i really don’t know much information about them or if they would be suitable for me. If I have to have fixed ones I don’t think I would have braces treatment.

I think I will look a bit daft if I get braces in my thirties. Can you advise?

March 9th, 2012
Q.

Hello Sir,. could you please lay to rest the fears i now have about braces. I have wanted them for a while now but I never wanted the train tracks. As a thirty one year old i feel lI would look a bit daft with them on and I here they take the longest of any treatment. I have been trying to research about things like and Inman Aligner and Invisalign but Have e found a lot of horror stories about both and also stories about how they’ve not worked or lined bottom teeth up with the top etc. what would you say about these types of brace treatment, are they reliable and do they give the correct and desired results? thank you

Could the inman aligner work for me as I work out the country a lot?

March 5th, 2012
Q.

I have wanted to get my teeth straightened for along as I can remember. When I was 12 I had a retainer the brace to try and fix the problem but was unfortunately unsuccessful, I should had gone for the fixed braces.
For many years I have looked into all different types of methods but I have never been able to afford the treatment.
Today I have came across the groupon offer for inman aligners. Also it would just be the top that I would like to get done.
Another thing is, I work out of the country quite often and I am only home for a few months at a time, Is this something that would be a big problem with inman?

Would Invisalign or the Inman aligner be able to fix my canine teeth that stick out slightly and are rotated?

February 9th, 2012
Q.

Hi, I would like to correct my teeth. Althought the front 6 teeth are straight, the teeth behind disappear intot he back of my mouth. When I smeile, you only see the front teeth. My canine teeth are stick out slightly and are rotated. I want to correct this, I have been to a local dentist for a consultation. He suggested Inman Aligners (as that’s what the practice offers) althogh he did state that there was a chance they would not move the teeth as much as I would like. Would Invisalign do the job? I don’t mind having full old fashioned braces if it will move them enough but I’m finding less Dentists offering this. Please can you help Raha?

Will six month smiles bring a high tooth down?

December 23rd, 2011
Q.

Hi Anoop. I live in London and I have a query about braces. I have a high tooth above my right upper incisor. its in place of the tooth behind it and is very unsightly. aside from this I also have small gaps between the rest of my teeth. I have been trying to short-list some brace systems since I found out there was essentially more than just train tracks. the problem is they’re all meant to do so much that this is almost impossible. I could only cross off the inman aligner and the invisalign treatments as the problem is located on my upper jaw and requires the teeth to go in both directions not just sideways. considering this and the remaining brace systems. I then saw the six month smiles and wondered to myself whether i could have the problems with my teeth sorted in six months! this was exciting but i wanted to know if I would fit the criteria for this type of treatment.

Will my veneers and tooth extractions affect my chance of having brace treatment?

December 20th, 2011
Q.

Dear Sharon, I am 48 years old and have always dreamed of having straight teeth but through the years it has always been put aside for another day, until now… I have seen an advert on Inman alligner braces or STb Lingual Braces. If I have 2 veneers, one either side of my two front teeth and 2 extractions at the top towards the back, in your experience would I be possibly unsuitable for brace work?
Many thanks,

December 20th, 2011
Q.

Hello doctor , my case is that i have a very big overbite, and now a few months ago, i went to a cosmetic dentist for treatment and i was given the imnan aligners fitted on my upper and lower teeth, i have been wearing them , but apart frm both sides of my teeth looking straighter, the over bite still remains the same which is of concern i must say. When i expressed this to my dentist, she told me it takes longer for some people.what can i do?I fill am just wasting time wearing them as my teeth are almost the same as before i had them. thank you for your time

If I am not a suitable candidate for the Inman Aligner, what are my other brace options?

November 28th, 2011
Q.

Hi i was wondering if the inman aligner could close gaps not just pull crooked teeth together. I like the look of it and like how its meant to be one of the quicker options but Im having trouble finding a provider in my local area. all of my bottom teeth are gapped as are my top. would you condone two different treatment types for the same mouth? I f I had say the inman aligner on the bottom and Invisalign on top would you say that that was OK? or would you have your patients stick to one? as far as I see it so what if they’re finished at different times? the sooner the better and that’s all I care about. if in the inman will not close gapped teeth what’s the best way to do so without getting a traditional fixed brace?
