Will I have a gap in my mouth after my tooth extraction?

Hi I’m just wondering if I need braces because I recently had a dentist appointment and he was looking at my teeth and said it looked a bit overcrowded. I have like a vampire tooth sticking out which he noticed and he said would I like it taking out? Does it bother me? And I said no it doesn’t bother me. Recently though, I have come to realise that I feel uncomfortable when I smile because of that tooth. So I’m thinking if I get that tooth out will it just leave a gap or will my dentist give me braces?

Would I be able to have a brace and a crown at the same time?

Q.

When I was about 13 I chipped my front tooth and because I was so young my dentist put porcelain over it and over another tooth that was supposedly chipped. Now being 19 the porcelain has chipped a little and, being originally discoloured but is now very discoloured. I want the necessary porcelain taken off my one canine and a cap on my front tooth and my teeth whitened. I need the crown to cover my chipped tooth. Would I then be able to have a brace? I will be getting my teeth whitened but I don’t know whether I can a) have the crown before the brace and B) have the tooth whitening before or after. For such a seemingly small problem I have to go through all this, could you please pass me any knowledge of this situation? Thank you

Can retainers cause cavities?

Hi there,
Is there any way that retainers cause cavities? I always brush my teeth regularly, probably even more now I have my retainer. I clean the retainer with toothpaste and a brush, and I rinse with antiseptic mouth wash. But for some reason I still have cavities on my back, lower teeth. Can you explain this? I don’t really get it because I have always brushed my teeth and never had a cavity until I got my braces off and started wearing retainers at night. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or am I doing something wrong? I thought maybe it could be the build up of bacteria over night but this has never been an issue before? Thanks

I am wondering what kind of braces would be best for me?

Hi Dr.Sepehrara,
I am inquiring about braces,my teeth have a big gap between the front two teeth and the right side of my teeth have a few wide gaps.I had braces when i was a teenager ,and also wore retainers for 3 months,but after a while they opened up again ,much more than before. The dentist said my jaw is too big and teeth are small.
I want to know if you have any service that could help improve my teeth structure and inevitably remove gaps.I can’t even smile with opening my mouth, because i dislike my teeth very much!
I am 20 years of age,and i am a full time student,so how would any costs affect me and if any discounts will be available if i proceed to take treatment from yourself.
