September 21st, 2011
Q.

Hi im 35 and when i was younger i had braces, but i was never given retainers to keep my teeth straight. now im older my top teeth are really forward and i hate them. My question is am i to old to get braces and what braces would you recomment as i would ike invisalign braces. Also im quite scared in getting braces because of my age and ive had bad experiences of the dentist and have had bad gum disease in which ive now been treated for after finding a good dentist. Any advice would be great. Thanks

I know that my teeth don’t line up and are crooked, Is this what he means by crossbite? please could you give me some information on what crossbite is and what type of brace i am going to have and how long iam going to have to wear them for? Please give me the heads up to what to expect thanks

Can my son get braces?

July 20th, 2011
Q.

Hello Dr. Qureshi, Iam writing to you because I am a concerned mother. My son is due to start secondary school in september and has rather crooked teeth, our family dentist said she wants to wait til he’s older then refer him for a NHS brace. However I would like him to start secondary school with straighter teeth, I know its not possible for them to be perfect in 2months but Iam sure that we can start? He’s a really shy little boy and I dont want him to get bullied so whats the best method to get his teeth sorted? Money isn’t a issue, thansk for your help

How do I clean my fixed brace?

July 19th, 2011
Q.

hello

could you please tell me the correct way to clean a fixed brace? I have had it for about a month now and I am finding it pretty difficult to clean. I understand that problems such as dental and decay can happen because of fixed braces and i really, really don’t want that to happen to me, so what would you say is the best way to clean a fixed brace and what are the best tools for the job?

i really appreciate your time and help doctor
